WEBC Skills Park
About WEBC & Our Journey:
Founded in 2022, Windsor Essex Bike Community (WEBC)'s core goal from day one was to use bikes to bring people together. Driven by volunteers, WEBC has become a leading outdoor nonprofit, focused on enhancing health and community connections through recreation.
From 2022–2025, WEBC has raised over $200,000 in donations, contributed 5,000+ volunteer trail work hours to build over 8 km of mountain bike trails for our community to enjoy for free. In that time, our organization also launched our compeletely free WEBC Youth Program, introducing hundreds of children to mountain biking.
All of these amazing community initiatives helped WEBC earn the prestigious June Callwood Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism in 2025. This award is the top honour a non profit can receive by the Province of Ontario.
This amazing story of growth, community, and success sets the stage for our next project: the WEBC Mountain Bike Skills Park.

01
The WEBC Mountain Bike Skills Park
The new WEBC Skills Park will be a dedicated, free-to-use riding area connected directly to the existing Libro Centre trail system in Amherstburg, ON.
-
Designed for all ages and abilities, the park will feature progressive riding lines for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders.
-
Key skills building elements such as wooden drops, berms, rollers, jumps, and other features modeled after real trail terrain.
-
This space gives riders a safe and structured area to learn essential skills before hitting the main trails.
-
It will also expand our capacity for youth programs, clinics, group rides, and family-friendly activities.
-
As the only integrated trail network + skills park in Southern Ontario, it will become a unique recreation hub and a major attraction for local residents and visitors alike.
02
Why the Skills Park Matters
The Skills Park will create meaningful social, health, and community benefits:
-
Riders will gain confidence, improve fitness, and enjoy a fun, accessible activity that encourages outdoor recreation.
-
Families will have a safe and affordable way to ride together, while new riders will have a welcoming place to learn without pressure.
-
The park also enhances WEBC Youth, offering a dedicated teaching space that boosts safety and supports skill progression.
-
Its unique design will attract cycling events, tourism, and economic activity to Amherstburg, strengthening the Libro Centre as a regional recreation destination.

03
Built Through the Power of Community
Just like our trail network, the Skills Park will be built and maintained through WEBC’s land stewardship partnership with the Town of Amherstburg.
-
The project will combine the expertise of hired contractors with the dedication of experienced WEBC volunteers.
-
Estimated construction cost is $20,000–$50,000, funded entirely by WEBC, with no taxpayer expense.
-
Every donation directly supports materials, equipment, and the creation of a safe and inspiring place for riders of all ages.
-
Together, we can continue building world-class outdoor spaces for Windsor–Essex. Together, we can once again prove the Power of Community.
