2023 WEBC Events

We are thrilled to announce that WEBC will be officially partnering with the Town of Amherstburg recreation department in hosting youth riding clinics and events! 

 

Our first event will be a basic skills clinic and youth group ride on Saturday, November 4th at the Libro Centre Trails in Amherstburg.

 

• This completely FREE DROP IN event is open to all riders ages 10 - 17! 

• All skill levels are welcome however this clinic is geared towards brand new or beginner riders! 

• Learn basic riding skills and how to safely ride the trails! 

• Helmets will be mandatory for all participants! 

• Demo bikes available! 

 

Don’t have a bike? No problem! Our friends at Flow Cafe & Bikes will also be bringing out brand new demo mountain bikes for youth riders to try out on the trail free of charge! 

 

With the riding season coming to an end, this event is just the start of some of the big plans we have for local youth riding in 2024.

Windsor Essex Bike Community (WEBC) is inviting all riders out to our season finale group ride! 

 

This ride will be for all ages and all skill levels on Sunday, October 22 at 11:00 AM!

 

We will meet at Brews & Cues pub parking lot at 11:00 AM and pedal to the trails. The ride will have a fast group and a more casual paced group for different skill level of riders. 

 

Following the ride we will head to Rock Bottom Bar & Grill for a post ride meal and drinks to celebrate WEBC’s first full riding season!

Windsor Essex Bike Community (WEBC) will be hosting our first ever Libro Centre trails group ride Tuesday, July 18th at 6:00 PM!

This ride will be open to all ages, skill levels, and be our first ever official group ride at the Libro Centre! 

​

After the ride everyone is invited to our friends at GL Heritage Brewing Company for WEBC’s “Bikes & Bonfires” event for some post ride beverages, food, and bonfires out in the woods!

 

GL Heritage was nice enough to offer a special opening just for us to host our event at the brewery!

​

Come out for a fun night of riding, bonfires, and of course your favorite craft beer from GL Heritage! Lets try and have a huge turnout to celebrate our new trails!! 

The Town of Amherstburg has invited Windsor Essex Bike Community (WEBC) to be part of their "Libro Centre Celebration Day" on Saturday, June 10th at the Libro Centre in Amherstburg!

This event is to celebrate the three new outdoor amenities being introduced at the Libro Centre:

 

1. Skate Park
2. WEBC Bike Trail (Phase 1)
3. Nature Walking Trail

This event will act as our soft Phase 1 bike trail opening and a perfect sneak peak to all the hard work that has been put towards this amazing WEBC trail project!

​

STAY TUNED: We will also have our own official WEBC specific Libro Trail Grand Opening Event later in the summer once the Phase 1 of the trail is 100% complete! Stay tuned for more on this!!

​

For June 10th, come out to get a look at the new trail and other awesome venues being introduced at the Libro Centre!

Come out to the Libro Centre in Amherstburg on Saturday, April 1st to learn more about WEBC's newly approved Libro Centre Trail Project!

Windsor Essex Bike Community (WEBC) is so excited to host our "Hops & Handlebars" fundraiser event on April 22nd at GL Heritage Brewery! This event is to raise money for WEBC's new public Libro Centre mountain bike trails project in Amherstburg!

 

The event will feature a live music performance by Amherstburg's very own River Town Ramblers! In addition we will have some awesome raffle prizes and great food & drink options!

 

Enjoy some amazing local beer, wine, and spirits from GL Heritage Brewery, Wolfhead Distillery, and Dancing Swallows Winery who will all be in attendance and sponsoring the event!

 

Pre-sale raffle tickets are now available online at www.webcride.com! All raffle ticket earnings and donations made at the event will go directly towards our Libro Centre mountain bike trails project construction costs!!

 

It would be hugely appreciated if everyone could come out to this event, make a donation, and help support this very exciting community funded project!
